Dr. Abby Joyner earned her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s
Florida Campus. She previously earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science
as well as a Master’s of Science in Human Performance: Strength and Conditioning from Liberty
University. While at Liberty, she published and presented research at the 2019 National Strength
and Conditioning Association’s national conference, and performed primary research in
biomechanics and human movement during her time in the human performance program.
Dr. Joyner’s educational background laid the foundation for her to provide comprehensive care
for musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction for patients in every walk of life. During her rotations in
chiropractic school, she served patients at the main campus clinic as well as at outreach
locations for addiction recovery facilities. Her final rotation included time spent being mentored
at the Lynchburg Virginia Sport & Spine Institute, implementing the Selective Functional
Movement Assessment into care.
Outside of her time in the clinic, Abby enjoys being a volunteer at the Renan Volunteer Fire
Department, hiking the national parks with her husband, and strength training in the gym.
