Dr. Simpson is a native of Pittsylvania County in which he still resides. He began his career as a physical therapist assistant with experience in multiple settings that include outpatient orthopedics, sports, home health, and skilled nursing. He obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he was also selected for the Dean’s Award by the physical therapy faculty.
As a DPT, Dr. Simpson practiced in the outpatient orthopedic/Sports setting in which he gained valuable mentorship under Dr. Howell. This is also where he developed a special interest in treating chronic pain conditions. Currently, Dr. Simpson serves as associate professor for Patrick & Henry Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in which he is also the academic coordinator of clinical education.
Dr. Simpson is passionate about high-quality, individualized patient care and looks forward to serving the Chatham community and the surrounding areas.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys fitness, guitar, and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
