Dr. Nate Daugherty joined Virginia Sport & Spine Institute in 2021, where he provides physical therapy services for individuals with a wide range of orthopedic conditions, both surgical and non-surgical. He has a particular focus on lower extremity rehabilitation, specializing in ACL rehab and guiding athletes through the transition from initial injury back to full return to sport.
Dr. Daugherty enjoys working with athletes of all ages and skill levels, ensuring they are not only pain-free but also able to perform at their highest potential. His expertise has given him the opportunity to work with local high school and college athletes, as well as partner with local gymnastics gyms and fitness centers to help athletes return to training and optimize their movement. He also has a special interest in working with golfers of all ages, blending rehabilitation and performance training to improve both health and sport outcomes.
As part of the VSSI team, Dr. Daugherty believes in a comprehensive movement exam during the evaluation process to create individualized treatment plans and specific performance recommendations. He is passionate about providing cutting-edge care to the local community, helping active individuals and athletes get out of pain, recover fully, and elevate their performance.
